What exactly are bulky goods?
Do you have an item that just doesn't fit into a standard box? Welcome to the world of bulky goods! Essentially, anything that can't automatically roll through the sorting systems of large parcel services is considered bulky.
A normal parcel is rectangular, has smooth surfaces, and can be stacked. As soon as something is round, has protruding parts, is unstably packed, or exceeds standard dimensions (usually 120 x 60 x 60 cm), it becomes bulky goods. The problem: manual handling in distribution centres takes time – and that's why many providers charge exorbitant surcharges. But don't worry: with us, you can send your bulky goods affordably, because we know exactly which transport route is the most efficient.

The Golden Rule: Over 30 kg? Get it on a pallet!
This is the most important point that many underestimate: if your bulky goods weigh more than 30 kg, then 'just sending it' isn't an option. For reasons of occupational safety and smooth transport, anything over 30 kg must be placed on a pallet.
Why? Because no driver can lift a 50 kg monster alone. On a pallet, your consignment can be safely moved with a pallet truck or forklift. So if you want to send heavy bulky goods, please book the 'pallet' packing material directly in our calculator. This will save you hassle during collection and ensure your goods arrive safely.
